Steve Benjamin

Legal Experience
Steve has more than 30 years of experience representing businesses in numerous industries as outside general counsel. He advises businesses and employers on a broad range of legal issues including business, labor and employment, nonprofit formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, construction, real estate and debtor/creditor relations. His practice includes counseling, transactions and litigation.
Steve has appeared before California and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative agencies, alternate dispute resolution forums and licensing boards throughout California. He has conducted hundreds of labor commissioner and other administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations and bench and jury trials.
Prior to establishing Benjamin Law Offices in 2004, Steve practiced law with one of Sacramento’s preeminent law firms.

Legal Experience
Wendy has served as outside general counsel for businesses across multiple industries for more than 30 years. Her practice includes counseling, transactions and litigation for businesses and creditors facing a broad range of legal issues, such as business start-up, governance and dissolution, business and commercial law, real and personal property secured transactions, commercial collections and bankruptcy law.
Wendy has represented numerous creditors, including Fortune 500 companies and national banking associations, in debtor/creditor workouts and debt restructuring, obtaining and enforcing commercial judgments, domesticating and enforcing sister-state judgments and protecting creditors’ rights in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases.
Wendy has also represented clients as appellants and respondents in state and federal court appeals. She has appeared before California and federal trial and appellate courts, bankruptcy courts and alternate dispute resolution forums throughout California.
Before establishing Benjamin Law Offices in 2004, Wendy worked for a small Los Angeles law firm and practiced with a Sacramento boutique business and bankruptcy law firm.

Personal Interests and Organizations
Wendy is an active member of her church, Faith Presbyterian Church in Sacramento. She has served as both an ordained elder and deacon in the church. She is committed to serving others through both local and international mission. She participates with others in the monthly “Reaching Out” resource fair at Bethany Presbyterian/SSIP Food Closet, distributing donated resources to local community members. She also runs half-marathons with Team World Vision each year to raise money for World Vision’s clean-water projects in the developing world. Recently, she started singing with her church choir and pursuing vocal lessons.
